Product Type Overview

Four51 enables three primary product types by default, and one product type available upon request: 

1. Static product: Basic product with limited customization. Example: Pen: choose Blue or Black.
2. Static products with variations: Pre-defined customization of static products. Example: T-shirt: combinations of color and size make up the variations.
3. Variable products: Allow rendered images. Example: Business Card: upload image, enter name, title and phone number before viewing a preview.
4. Kit products: Available upon request by case submission to Four51. Allows one product to be purchased which contains additional products included in the kit. 

You will find information about how to build static products and static products with variations in the Related Articles section.  When creating a new static product, you are taken through a New Product Wizard. The wizard is not available for existing products, but each step can be accessed on the left navigation bar after a product is located. Required fields in each step are indicated by a red asterisk (*).

To build variable products you must be Pageflex trained. Contact your Account Manager to learn about training options.
