Variable Product Variant Overview
Variable Product Variant OverviewA variable product variant is a personalized variation of a customizable template that is created by a user on the Four51 application. Variants are saved to allow users to re-order a product without having to re-insert all of their personalized information again which minimizes variations from order to order and limits the amount of time spent ordering.
An administrative user can control who sees each variant based on permissions granted for each user and/or group. A user with the permission View Product Variants For All Group Users assigned is allowed to view and purchase variants that were created by any user in his organization that is a member of any user group to which this user belongs. Another permission that can be assigned is View Product Variants For All Buyer Users. A user with this permission assigned can view and purchase variants that were created by any user in his entire organization.
NOTE: Variable product variants are specific to a product and to the variables that are used in the Pageflex template. If a variable spec name is changed or added during an update to the template, it is likely that the previously saved variants will break and there will be missing information. It is important to make sure that the names of the variable specs remain the same when updating the template.Reference Material: NoneRelated Articles:Variable Product Variant AssignmentLabels: Variable Product, Variants, Saved product version, Variable permissions
