By default, a buyer user will see all variants he has created. Additionally, there are two variant permissions that can be assigned which will allow the buyer user to see variants created by other buyer users.
1. View Product Variants For All Buyer-Users: The buyer user will see all variants created by users within his buyer company.
2. View Product Variants For All Group-Users: The buyer user will see all variants created by buyer users that are in one or more common group.
Manual Assignment
Variants can also be manually assigned by administrative users. The assignment can be made on two different pages of the Admin interface.
Product Setup – Variants Page
1. Log onto the Administrative interface.
2. Click on the “Products” top navigation tab.
3. Search for and select the product.
4. Click “Variants” on the left navigation bar.
5. Click the name of the variant to be assigned.
6. Then click on the “Buyer Assignments…” link.
7. From here you can select the company, group or user level and make the appropriate assignment.
a. If there are multiple price schedules available for this product, select the appropriate price schedule for the list for each variant.
8. Click the “Save” button.
Buyer Setup – Variants Tab
1. Logon to the Administrative interface.
2. Click on the “Buyers” top navigation tab.
3. Search for and select the buyer company.
4. Select the appropriate level to make the assignment (company, group or user).
5. Click the “Variants” tab.
6. Select the category and product where the variants exist.
7. Check the box to the left of the name of all variants to assign.
a. If there are multiple price schedules available for this product, select the appropriate price schedule from the list for each variant.
8. Click the “Update” button.
NOTE: When a different price schedule is assigned at different levels, the most granular level will be what is displayed to the buyer user.For example, if the company-level price schedule sets the price of a variant at $5.00 and the buyer user-level price schedule sets the price of the same variant at $3.00, the price for that variant will display as $3.00 for that specific buyer user.Reference Material: NoneRelated Articles: Variable Product Variant OverviewLabels: Variable Products, Variants
