Overview

A Custom DNS Setup request can be submitted to configure or update a custom domain for an existing Content Hub environment. The custom domain can be applied to the Portal UI endpoint, the Delivery endpoint, or both endpoints.

Prerequisites

Before submitting the request:

• Complete the required DNS prerequisites.
• Determine whether the domain must be applied to the Portal UI Endpoint, Delivery Endpoint, or both.

Steps

• To submit a Custom DNS Setup request
  1. In the Customer Name field, enter the name of the customer associated with the Content Hub environment.
  2. In the Environment Reference field, select or specify the environment for which the DNS change is required.
  3. Under Endpoint for Update field, select one of the following options:
     • Portal UI Endpoint: Select this option when the custom domain will be used to access the Content Hub portal.
     • Delivery Endpoint: Select this option when the custom domain will be used for content delivery.
     • Both: Select this option when the custom domain must be applied to both the Portal UI and Delivery endpoints.
  4. Provide the domain information corresponding to the selected endpoint:
     

     Endpoint Selected	Required Information
     Portal UI Endpoint	Main Domain
     Delivery Endpoint	Delivery Domain
     Both	Main Domain and Delivery Domain

  5. In the Additional Comments field, provide any other information that might help SaaS Operations process the request.
  6. Verify that the supplied domain information is accurate, and then submit the request.
• To submit a Custom CDN request

  If the request concerns a custom CDN implementation or a CDN configuration change, review the Set up a custom CDN documentation before submitting the request.

After submitting the request

After the request is submitted:

1. SaaS Operations reviews the request.
2. The supplied information is validated.
3. Additional information might be requested if clarification is required.
4. DNS change is processed according to the applicable support process.
