Description

Deleting items in the Content Editor, particularly when removing an item, a group of items, or a folder might result in the error indicating that "the connection was forcibly closed". In some cases, only the first item in the selection is deleted, while the remaining items are not processed.

For example:

StatusCode: 403, ReasonPhrase: 'Forbidden'

StatusCode: 404, ReasonPhrase: 'Not Found'

StatusCode: 503, ReasonPhrase: 'Service Unavailable'

Solution

To resolve the issue, consider one of the following options:

• Upgrade your solution to SItecore XP 10.3.0 or later.
• For Sitecore XP 10.2, download and install the pre-release as specified in KB1001439.
