We strongly recommend that you avoid using identical Placeholder Keys in different placeholder items.
When it comes to configuring placeholder restrictions, you can set them either in global or in site-specific placeholder items. Keep in mind that restrictions set on a global placeholder affect all pages on every site that uses that placeholder. To prevent such a broad application, it is recommended that you set placeholder restrictions on site-specific placeholders.
