Description

The Sitecore Publishing Service might not prompt the Do you want to save the changes to the item? message when publishing an item that has not been saved. This results in the old version of the item being published instead of the updated version.

Solution

To resolve the issue, consider one of the following options:

• Upgrade your solution to Sitecore XP 10.3.0 and Sitecore Publishing Module 10.3.0 or later.
• For Sitecore XP 9.3, download and install the corresponding hotfix: SC Hotfix 505853-1.zip.
• For Sitecore XP 8.2.7 and earlier, download and install the patch compatible with the affected product version found on this page: https://github.com/sitecoresupport/Sitecore.Support.38955/releases.
