Description

Publishing a single item to Experience Edge might be slow. This occurs due to the publication of additional ancestor dependencies or the scan for all potential changes in the related items of the published item.

The issue affects both Sitecore XM/XP and XM Cloud solutions, as well as SXA and non-SXA managed sites.

Solution

To address the issue, consider the following options:

• For Sitecore XP 10.2:
  
  1. Download and install the following package: SC Hotfix-599444-1 ExpEdge 20.0.0 rev. 00139.zip
  2. Set one or both of the following settings to false by creating configuration patch files:
     
     • ExperienceEdge.IncludeDependencyAncestors
       Note: Republish your site with Smart Publish to remove any dependencies existing on Experience Edge.
     • Publishing.DeepScanRelatedItems
• For Sitecore XM Cloud, set one or both of the following settings to false by creating configuration patch files:
  
  • ExperienceEdge.IncludeDependencyAncestors
    Note: Republish your site with Smart Publish to remove any dependencies existing on Experience Edge.
  • Publishing.DeepScanRelatedItems
