Using a composite rendering in a language other than English might lead to the rendering local data source not being created for the context language.

Solution

To resolve the issue, consider one of the following options:

• Upgrade the Sitecore XP instance to Sitecore XP 10.3 and SXA 10.3.0 or later.
• For Sitecore XP 10.1 and SXA 10.1.0, download and install the prerelease as specified in KB1001756.
• For Sitecore XP 9.3 and SXA 9.3.0, download and install the corresponding cumulative hotfix available in KB1001754.

Alternatively, consider manually creating the needed language version of the Data item using Content Editor.
