Overview

The article contains the information about the Sitecore Managed Cloud Standard compatibility with various Sitecore versions, data centers, features, and dependent components. This article applies to Sitecore Managed Cloud Standard - PaaS 2.0 only.

Sitecore XP Compatibility

The following table shows the currently supported Sitecore XP releases that are compatible with Sitecore Managed Cloud:

Compatible Solr Versions

The Solr version depends on the version of Sitecore being used. Check the Solr compatibility table. 
There are two important distinctions to note when working with Sitecore Managed Cloud deployments:

• Solr as a search provider is supported starting with Sitecore XP 9.1. Azure Search provider is the only option for Sitecore Managed Cloud environments based on older versions of Sitecore XM/XP XP/CMS. Azure Search is not supported with Managed Cloud Standard PaaS 2.0.
• Solr is run in SolrCloud mode for Sitecore Managed Cloud Production deployments. Solr as a standalone (single node) server is not supported for Production workloads.
• SolrCloud and Standalone (single node) service is supported with for XM/XP Non-Production deployments.

Notes

• [1] Sitecore platform is not supported in the recommended paired region, so an alternative region should be considered for Disaster Recovery.
• [2] Azure database Geo-backups are not readily available in the East US region after it has been set up initially due to Azure limitations. It takes between a few hours and a day to get the geo-backups available in this region for the first time.
