Microsoft is discontinuing Basic Authentification in Exchange Online starting from October 1, 2022. The discontinuation affects those Email Experience Module (EXM) solutions that are using Microsoft Exchange Online. All the functionalities that required Basic Authentication might not work.

Based on Microsoft, it should be possible to re-enable Basic Authentification and use it until the end of December 2022. During the first week of the calendar year 2023, those protocols will be disabled for Basic Authentification use permanently.
