Values of the Single-Line Text or the Multi-Line Text fields might not get displayed in the Experience Editor, for example:

[No text in field]

The issue occurs if the values of the Rendering.HtmlEncodedFieldTypes and the HtmlEditor.RemoveScripts settings are changed as follows:

<setting name="HtmlEditor.RemoveScripts" value="false" />

Solution

To resolve the issue, consider one of the following options:

• Upgrade the Sitecore XP instance to Sitecore XP 10.2.1 or later.
• For Sitecore XP 10.2, download and install the latest cumulative hotfix as specified in KB1001439.

As an alternative solution, use the default value of the Rendering.HtmlEncodedFieldTypes setting as follows:
