Description

Email Experience Manager (EXM) reports might not show some charts and values, the aggregation process might be slower than expected.

The error similar to the following can be found in the EXM log:

ERROR Cannot lookup WhoIsInformation for Interaction '0c6883b6-f080-0000-0000-056508c40ca2'
Exception: System.InvalidOperationException
Message: geoIpServiceUri
Source: Sitecore.CES.GeoIp
   at Sitecore.CES.GeoIp.SitecoreProvider.RequestGeoIpService(String ip)
   at Sitecore.CES.GeoIp.SitecoreProvider.GetInformationByIp(String ip)
   at Sitecore.EmailCampaign.ExperienceAnalytics.Dimensions.ByLocation.GenerateCustomKey(Interaction interaction, EmailEvent exmEvent, EmailEventType eventType)

Solution

To resolve the issue, consider one of the following options:

• Upgrade the Sitecore XP instance to Sitecore XP 9.1.1 or later.
• For Sitecore XP 9.0.1 download and install the patch compatible with the affected product version found on this page:

• For Sitecore XP 9.0.2 download and install the patch compatible with the affected product version found on this page:
  https://github.com/SitecoreSupport/Sitecore.Support.287375/releases/tag/9.0.2.0
