Description

The Edit image button might not work when trying to edit an image field in the Experience Editor or Content Editor. For recommended alternative approaches, refer to the Solution.

Solution

If you experience the issue, try one of the following alternative approaches to edit an image:

• For Sitecore XP 9.0.1:
  
  1. In the Experience Editor, click the image that you want to edit.
  2. On the floating toolbar that appears, click the More drop-down arrow.
  3. In the drop-down list, click Edit the related item.
  4. In the opened Content Editor window, scroll to the image field and click Edit image.
• For Sitecore XP 9.2.0 and Sitecore XP 9.3.0:
  
  1. Click the Sitecore Start menu.
  2. Click All Applications and then click Image Editor.
  3. In the Image Editor window, on the ribbon, click Open.
  4. In the Select Media dialog box, select the image that you want to edit and click Select.
