Description

When using the Web Forms for Marketers module 2.0 or later version to create a web form that contains a DropList field, the available field values may be missing some items.

This happens when an item contains the same data as the expected values of the the DropList.

For example, if you configure the DropList field to use an item's name as a value, an item with the same name would not appear in the drop-down list.

Solution 1

When you configure the DropList, ensure that the item fields that you use as values contain data that is different from the item where you place the form.

For example, if you want to use the __Item Name field a value, consider using the __Display Name field as an alternative.

Solution 2

Apply the following patch:

1. Put the Sitecore.Support.353258.dll file into the \bin folder.
2. Put the Sitecore.Support.353258.config file into the \App_Config\Include folder.
3. Put the ListItemsEditor.xaml.xml file into the \sitecore\shell\Override folder.
4. Navigate to the sitecore\system\Modules\Web Forms for Marketers\Settings\Field Types\List Types\Drop List item and perform the following replacements:
   • The Assembly field: Sitecore.Support.353258.dl
   • The Class field: Sitecore.Support.Form.Web.UI.Controls.DropList
5. Run a Smart publish of the site.
