Known issues:
- [Resolved in 6.5.0 Update-4] To use the Page Editor, Preview, or Sitecore Debugger in IE9, you must enable the Compatibility View mode in Internet Explorer. (341909, 347176, 349492, 348382)
- [Resolved in 6.5.0 Update-4] The Page Editor does not support the inline Content Editor when using IE9. Instead, the Content Editor opens in a pop-up window when a user clicks the Edit button in the ribbon or the Edit the related item command in the floating toolbar, just as if the WebEdit.UserPopupContentEditor setting was set to true. - The Rich Text Editor does not allow the use of HTML 5 tags when editing Rich Text fields. (362578)
- [Resolved in 6.5.0 Update-5] When using the Japanese client language in IE9, the font size in the Sitecore clients is smaller than in IE8 and IE7. (353224)
- [Resolved in 8.0 Update-6] The Keyboard Map application does not show the key code when pressing a key. (353144)
- The Database Usage window partially hides the content of the window. (353160)
- In the Properties dialog box, in the Content Editor, the ID of the current item is partially hidden. (353146)
CMS\XP versions that do not support IE9
Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 is not supported by the following CMS releases:
- CMS 6.4.1 Update-4 and earlier CMS releases
- Sitecore XP 8.1 and later XP releases
However, most Sitecore user interfaces are expected to work correctly when running IE9 in the Compatibility View mode for CMS 6.4.1 Update-3 and earlier CMS releases.
Internet Explorer Compatibility mode is not supported for Sitecore CMS 7.1 and later.
