Description

If the Sitecore /temp folder is located outside of the /Website folder, the following issues may occur:

• Icons that appear on ribbon buttons may not be shown.
• Exception such as this one may appear when opening the Content Editor:

Solution

It is recommended to keep the temp folder inside the website root. This is the default location.
