Description

The Edit the related item button might not work in the Email Experience Manager (EXM) Experience Editor due to JavaScript errors. For example, when a user clicks Edit the message body in the Message tab, then chooses the required component and clicks Edit the related item, nothing happens.

This issue affects EXM 3.3. and later versions.

Solution

To resolve the issue, consider one of the following options:

• In the Sitecore.ExperienceEditor.config file, change the WebEdit.UsePopupContentEditor setting value from false to true.
• Alternatively, download and install the patch compatible with the affected product version found here:
