Description

When trying to remove a user or a role from the list in the Assign Security Rights dialog in Content Editor, the user/role may not disappear from the list. This happens in Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

Solution

Apply the following patch to fix the issue:

1. Back up the /sitecore/shell/Applications/Security/ItemSecurityEditor/ItemSecurityEditor.xaml.xml file.
2. Put the new ItemSecurityEditor.xaml.xml file into the /sitecore/shell/Applications/Security/ItemSecurityEditor folder:
   
   • For Sitecore 7.2 Initial Release – 7.2 Update-5, Sitecore 7.5: ItemSecurityEditor.xaml.xml
   • For Sitecore 8.0 – Sitecore 8.1 Update-1: ItemSecurityEditor.xaml.xml
3. Clear the browser cache.
