Description

An item that is the target of an internal link is not selected when opening the Rich Text Editor (RTE) Insert Link dialog. The same behavior is observed for the RTE Insert Media Item dialog.

Solution

To resolve the issue, consider one of the following options:

• Upgrade Sitecore XP instance to 9.1 Initial Release or higher (recommended).
• Download and install the patch compatible with the affected product version found on this page:
  https://github.com/SitecoreSupport/Sitecore.Support.92179/releases.
