App Insights Pricing Plans

An Application Insights service can have either Basic or Enterprise pricing plan.

The Basic pricing plan includes all Enterprise plan features, at no additional cost. The Basic plan bills primarily on the volume of data being ingested. The first 5GB collected each month is free and then any additional data is charged per GB (the amount of free space is applied for the entire subscription and shared between all the Application Insights services deployed there). You can find the cost of AI storage space in the Usage and estimated costs section of your AI service on the portal.

The Enterprise plan has an hourly per-node charge. You pay for each node that sends telemetry to the Application Insights service. A data volume allocation of 200 MB per day is given for free for each node, the per-GB overage data charges apply for data exceeding this allowance. You can find a number of reporting nodes for each topology per SKU in the table above.
