Description

An MVC form might be blocked from submitting if it contains a ReCaptcha field marked as required in the Web Forms for Marketers (WFFM) Form designer. Submit action validation works properly for all the fields except the ReCaptcha field. Though the ReCaptcha is verified, the validation message still shows field is required on submitting.

The issue affects WFFM 8.2.0 and later versions.

Solution

To resolve the issue, consider one of the following options:

• Unmark the Captcha field as required.
• Navigate to the /sitecore/system/Modules/Web Forms for Marketers/Settings/Field Types/Complex/Captcha item and clear the required option. This removes the possibility to mark Captcha as required in the WFFM Form Designer.
