Description

The following Analytics reports use Google Maps to display  visitor's location:

Sitecore CMS 7.2 — Sitecore XP 7.5:

• Engagement Analytics -> Organization -> Business Overview
• Engagement Analytics -> Visit -> Visitor (Contact) Overview

Sitecore XP 8.0.0 — Sitecore XP 8.2.7:

• Marketing Control Panel -> Engagement Plan -> Supervisor -> View (Contacts chunk) -> Visits

Due to changes in the Google Maps API, the "Oops! Something went wrong." error message might be displayed instead of Google Map:

Solution

To resolve a Google Maps error in Analytics reports, consider the following option:

1. Open the following page: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key.
2. Retrieve an API key, click Get a Key.
3. Download the ScriptAPIkey.txt file and follow the steps from this file.
4. Clear the browser cache.
