Description

When a user is logging into Sitecore it might redirect to the License Options page despite the current number of logged in users being less than the Sitecore license allows.

The issue can happen if the Remember me checkbox is selected. Automatic re-logging into the Sitecore Client, without having to enter the user's credentials, results in increasing the number of concurrent users by 1.

Solution

To resolve the issue, upgrade Sitecore XP instance to Sitecore XP 9.3 or later.

Alternatively, consider one of the following options:

• Kick off or add a user.
• Disable the Remember me checkbox on the login page by setting the Login.DisableRememberMe setting to true as follows:

  <setting name="Login.DisableRememberMe" value="true" />

  Note: The values must be patched by creating a configuration patch file in the \App_Config\Include\zzz folder.
