jQuery libraries 2.1.3 that are used in Sitecore Forms 9.0–9.2 are known to be outdated.
To resolve this issue, consider one of the following options:
- Upgrade a Sitecore XP instance to Sitecore XP 9.3 or later.
Notes:
- Sitecore Forms 9.3 contains jQuery version 3.4.1 by default.
- You can safely upgrade jQuery 3.4.1 to 3.5.1 version as follows:
- Replace jquery-3.4.1.min.js with jquery-3.5.1.min.js in the /sitecore modules/Web/ExperienceForms/scripts folder.
- In the Content Editor, replace jquery-3.4.1.min.js with jquery-3.5.1.min.js in the Scripts field of the /sitecore/Templates/System/Forms/Form/__Standard Values item.
- Save and publish the changes.
- Download and install one of the following hotfixes to the affected Sitecore systems depending on your version:
- For Sitecore XP 9.2: KB1001331 (for the jQuery version upgrade to 3.4.1).
- For Sitecore XP 9.1.1: KB1001330 (for the jQuery version upgrade to 3.4.1).
- For Sitecore XP 9.1.0: KB1001328 (for the jQuery version upgrade to 3.4.1).
Note: To upgrade jQuery 3.4.1 to 3.5.1 version as follows for Sitecore XP 9.1 - Sitecore 9.2:
- Replace jquery-3.4.1.min.js with jquery-3.5.1.min.js in the /sitecore modules/Web/ExperienceForms/scripts folder.
- In the Content Editor, replace jquery-3.4.1.min.js with jquery-3.5.1.min.js in the Scripts field of the /sitecore/Templates/System/Forms/Form/__Standard Values item.
- Save and publish the changes.
- For Sitecore XP 9.0.1 and 9.0.2: SC Hotfix 323842-1.zip (for the jQuery version upgrade to 3.3.1). Follow the instructions in the readme.txt file.
Be aware that the hotfix was built for the specific Sitecore XP versions and must not be installed on other Sitecore XP versions or in combination with other hotfixes. If any other hotfixes have already been installed on a certain Sitecore XP instance, send a request for a compatibility check to Sitecore Support.
Note that the ZIP file contents must be extracted to locate installation instructions and related files inside. The hotfix must be installed on a CM instance and then synced with other instances using standard development practices.
