After installing a new instance or upgrading to Sitecore 10.0 or later versions, EXM might not be shown on the Launchpad.
In this release, EXM requires new license keys in order to be enabled. For more details, refer to Sitecore XP 10.0 Release Notes.
In order to enable EXM, the following conditions must be met:
- Sitecore must be running in XP mode, not XM.
- Sitecore must have exmEnabled:define application setting set to yes in the web.config application settings.
- Sitecore must have eds:define application setting set to either CustomSmtp or EmailCloud in the web.config application settings
- The customer’s license must have an appropriate EDS key matching the eds:define application setting in the web.config application settings:
- In case of EXM Delivery Cloud the license key Sitecore.EXM.Delivery.Cloud must be present.
- In case Custom SMTP is used, the license key Sitecore.EXM.Custom.SMTP must be present.
If you don't have an appropriate EDS key, contact your regional Sitecore representative to decide on how to get a new license file.
