Project Fonts

Project Fonts

Until now, Pageflex has relied on Microsoft Windows to manage fonts required by documents rendered by any Pageflex application.  With the new Pageflex Server, it is now possible to segregate fonts in a Project Fonts sub-folder within the parent project folder.

Today, when an existing project is rendered, it will find the font files from the list of 9600+, and place them in a new folder named: Project Fonts. These are the fonts it will use to render the file.

Moving forward, if a NEW font needs to be used that was not previously uploaded by Four51, then this font file can be placed in the Project Fonts folder, and it will use that font file to render the job.  No more need for Four51 to purchase and install fonts.

Uploading Projects with a Project Fonts folder can only be uploaded via the FTP method.  You will receive an error if you try to upload fonts via the old, IE Project Utility method.  If you are not currently using the FTP method to upload project files, please make the switch, as we will be removing the Project Utility method in the near future.  For more information on the FTP method, please view Project File Upload Configuration
