Product Groups
Product Groups make it possible to display a specific group of products to a specific buyer and show related products. Examples of product groups are featured products or clearance items displayed on the home page or related products displayed on a specific product page.This article will explain how to create a product group, where to designate which product group to display for each product and how to set up the home page and product detail page to display the product group.Create a Product Group
To create a new Product Group, complete the following steps:
1. Log onto your Admin interface.
2. Click the “Products” top navigation tab.
3. Click “New Product Group” on the left navigation. You should see something like this:

NOTE: Required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*).
4. Fill out the product group fields:
a. Name: This is used to identify the product group and does not appear on the Buyer interface.
b. Header Text: This text will display above the product group on the Buyer interface.
c. Max to Show: This will limit the products that are displayed regardless of how many are in the Assigned to Group box.
d. Active: When the check box is checked this Product Group will be displayed on the Buyer interface. Uncheck the box to hide it.
e. Filter on Company: Select a Buyer company to have all products assigned to that company appear in the Products box.
f. Assigned to Group: Move products into this box to display on the Buyer interface. Use ctrl or shift to select multiple products at one time.
5. Click the “Save” button.
The new Product Group is added to the grid on the List Product Groups page.In this example we have the HomePage product group which will display Clearance items on the Home Page for the Buyer company and the Office product group which will be assigned to Office products and will display on the Product Detail page for those products.

Assign a Product Group to a Product
To assign a Product Group to a product, complete the following steps:
1. Log onto your Admin interface.
2. Click the “Products” top navigation tab.
3. Search for the Product which you would like to attach a product group to.
4. Select the product and you will see the Default Product Group field on the Product Properties page:
