An administrative user can clone an existing user to quickly duplicate common user settings as they create a new buyer user. A cloned user will receive the following set-up from the original user:
- Buyer company association
- Group associations
- Admin-created address associations
Note that user created addresses are NOT associated. - Cost center associations
- Permissions.
- Category assignments
- Product assignments (including variants)
- Admin-created credit card assignments
Note that a user created cards are NOT associated - Ship Method assignments
To create a cloned user, complete the following:
- Log onto your Administrative interface.
- Click the Buyers top navigation tab.
- Select the buyer company with which you are working.
- Click the Users tab.
- Select a user by clicking on the name. You should now see something similar to the following:

- Click the Clone User link.

Note that the required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*).
- Fill out the user fields:
- First Name: This will appear on orders and emails.
- Last Name: This will appear on orders and emails.
- Phone Number: This field is informational only.
- Email Address: This must be a valid email address. It is used for communication of order statuses.
- User Name: The username must be unique across ALL Four51 users.
- Interop ID: This is usually a unique number used to identify someone on an outside system such as a billing application.
- Password: The password must meet security level that is set on the Edit Company Information page.
- Confirm Password: Used to ensure you typed the correct password.
- Active: Check this box if the user should be active immediately.
- Click the Clone User button.
- The new user will now appear in the list of users for that buyer company.
- Manage cloned users the same way as all other users.
