Four51 has implemented basic page tracking and the e-Commerce solutions for Google Analytics.  The following is information about setting up Google Analytics to work with Four51 and a list of information that can be tracked.

If the buyer company is enabled for Google Analytics and the Guest Check Out user is selected for the OrderCloud 2.0 application, the buyer site will be accessible by web crawlers and bots to index.  There are many factors that go into where your site appears in a Google/Bing search results and may take time for the sites ranking to put it in the top results.  As the algorithm the search engines use changes, check online for the most up to date advice on how to get your site ranked higher in the search results.

Google Analytics shows you how people found your site, how they explored it, and how you can enhance their experience.

To initiate tracking for a buyer company, first you must have a Google Analytics account. Each Google Analytics account is associated with one or more Gmail email address. If you do not have a Gmail address, you can sign up for a free account at http://www.gmail.com.  Click “Create an account” and fill out the required information.

Once you have a gmail account, go to http://www.google.com/analytics
  1. Click on the “Admin” top navigation section
  2. Click in the “Property” drop down and click on the “Create New Property” link.
  3. Enter in a value in the “Website Name” field
  4. Enter the OrderCloud 2.0 application URL in “Website URL” field and select “https://” from the drop down. Example URL: example.four51ordercloud.com/samplesite
  5. Select the category that fits the OrderCloud 2.0 application.
  6. Select the appropriate time zone
  7. Click on the “Get Tracking ID” button
  8. Copy the Tracking ID (Example: UA-168498641-11) to your clipboard or a text file for future use
  9. Click on the back arrow to go back to the Administration page or click on the “Administration” link in the upper part of the page
  10. Under the “View” section in the far right hand side, click on the “Ecommerce Settings” link
  11. In the “Enable Ecommerce” section, click on the “Off” button to flip the indicator to “ON” to enable this type of tracking
  12. Click on the “Next” button
  13. Click on the “Submit” button
 
In order to set up Four51, you must know the Tracking ID for that Property.  To locate it:
  1. Click on the “Admin” top navigation section in Google Analytics
  2. In the “Property” section in the middle of the page, click on the drop down and click on the Property
  3. Click on the “Property Settings” link
  4. Copy the Tracking id from the top of the page in the “Basic Settings” section to your clipboard or to a text file
 
Next, logon to your Admin interface to initiate the tracking for one or more buyer companies.
  1. Click on the “Buyers” top navigation link.
  2. Select the Buyer Company you wish to set up tracking for.
  3. Click the “Edit Company Information” link.
  4. Scroll down until you find the “Google Analytics Key” field and enter the entire Tracking ID you copied out of Google Analytics.
