Anonymous User Link
Anonymous User Links are created using a tool called the Link Builder which is located on the left navigation bar for your buyer. They are constructed by assigning a user to act as the “template user.”Once you create the link, anyone who clicks through the link will assume the same permissions and settings that were given to the template user you created and assigned to the link.
NOTE: Any changes to the template user will be reflected from that point forward for people who click on the link. Additionally if you are creating a 2.0 site you can set your template user for the 2.0 URL on the “Custom 2.0 Applications” page, navigate here by clicking “OrderCloud 2.0” button in the left navigation, then the edit Icon
next to the 2.0 URL, under “Guest Checkout User” select the template user in the drop down, this will set your 2.0 URL to log on with that template users credentials.
You are allowed to make some adjustments to determine what your customer will see when they first click the link:
- You may send them to a specific product.
- You may send them to a specific category.
- Generally people choose to link to theDefault Home Page.
- You can choose Identify User/Logon Page which means the customer will have to sign-in before he can view your catalog.
- You can use the Link Builder to create a logon page.
Additional customization can be added to control what happens when the user clicks on the Logoff button.
- Logout URL: If this field is populated, the user will be sent to the website when they log off Four51, provided that they actually log onto Four51 and use the logoff button. The logout url will not be used if you have also selected the “Close window on logout” option.
- Close window on logout: If this box is checked, the customer’s browser will be closed, provided that they actually log onto Four51 and use the system's logoff button. (1.0 only)
Here is an example of an anonymous user link: (not for actual use) http://demo.four51.com/ui/AutoLogon.hcf?id=78e039ea-3531-4ecf-b133-d1e3caa9e8d3 (1.0 only)
These links can be used in hyperlinks to display in a more appealing manner to your customer.
Customers will be prompted to logon with an existing username or create a new username when they click the “Check Out” button on the View Cart page of the check-out process. The user will also be prompted to logon if he navigates to a variable text product because variable text products are saved by the application so that returning users can quickly reorder previously created variable text products.
